Dr. Sims has practiced in Chilliwack for over 30 years. He trained in dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of South Australia. Dr. Sims is licensed to practice in British Columbia, and is a member of the BC College of Dental Surgeons. He is also licensed to practice in California. Dr. Sims participates in the UBC dental mentorship program, designed to assist 4th year dental students make the transition from student to professional life. Bob and his wife Kim have been married since 1982, with two children currently attending university. His hobbies include skiing, sailing, kayaking, hiking, travelling, and photography.
Dr. Conway received his DMD degree from the University of Manitoba in 1991. Upon graduating he was selected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honour Dental Society. He went on to complete an oral surgery internship program in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1992. He is a consummate student of dentistry partaking in numerous continuing education courses and study clubs. He is a proud graduate of the world renowned Kois Center of Creative Restorative Excellence in Seattle, Washington, where he currently serves as a clinical instructor to fellow dentists. Dr. Conway has special interest in implants and cosmetic dentistry as well as comprehensive oral rehabilitation. Dr. Conway has a tremendous passion for dentistry and when asked what fuels this passion, he says it is summed up in his mission statement, “so others may smile.”
Dr. Andrew Irwin received his DMD (Dental) Degree from the University of Manitoba in 2014. After Graduating he moved to Salmon Arm where he practiced for four years before moving back to his hometown, Chilliwack, in 2018. He is passionate about learning new things, and loves all areas of dentistry. His favourites though would be Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy) and Suction Dentures (ask him about them). He loves meeting new people and working with them to have better oral health. When he’s not at work you will find him very busy spending time with his wife and their four young children. They love doing anything musical, Backpacking, Skiing, Swimming, Mountain Biking and anything else outside. More than anything else Dr. Irwin loves making people smile, whether it’s by telling a lame Dad Joke, doing funny voices, or fixing a broken tooth.
Shelley has 30+ years of experience as a CDA and even taught as a clinical instructor at University of the Fraser Valley for 4 years. She is the chairside assistant to Dr. Conway. When not working she enjoys spending time with her 2 adult children and reading.
Marcia has been with Dr. Sims Inc. for 20 years and has been a CDA for 25! She primarily works with our child to later teen patients and also helps out in reception. Marcia enjoys hanging out with her hubby and 3 kids, reading, gardening, visiting with friends, and travelling when possible.
Jenn has been a CDA for over a decade. She works hard assisting both Dr. Sims and Dr. Irwin. A devoted hockey mom for many years, she still spends a lot of time at the rink. In her time away from the office she enjoys hiking, shopping, and spending time with her husband and three sons.
Pam has been in the dental profession for 38 years, 11 of which she has practiced as a registered dental hygienist. Our adult patients will visit Pam for their regular cleanings and of course education on home care. When not at work Pam enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time in her garden. Curling up with a good book is another of her favorite pastimes.
Sherry has been in dentistry for twenty-two years; as a CDA, receptionist and treatment coordinator. Sherry then returned to University in 2008 for a diploma in dental hygiene. She believes strongly in the value of continuing education, and attends the Pacific Dental conference every year in Vancouver, to ensure she keeps up-to-date in the newest policies and procedures.
In her spare time she spends time with her husband taking their dog, Nova to the river. Sherry also enjoys travelling and visiting her two daughters, who live in Victoria and Lake Louise.
Sherry has a great understanding of patients needs. She enjoys taking time to discuss procedures and treatment options, and does so in a calm and reassuring manner. She believes that the most important person in the dental office is the patient, and strives to aid them to achieve their best dental health.
Jessica obtained her Dental Hygiene Diploma from Camosun College in Victoria in 2016, and is happy to be back in her hometown Chilliwack. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Health Science through Thompson Rivers University, so you might run into her at a local coffee shop fueling up to study. Jessica is very passionate about dentistry and admits that she is a "tooth nerd," which is evident when you get to know her. She strives to deliver high-quality dental hygiene care while ensuring your appointments are fun, educational, and comfortable. The most important thing to her is that every client feels they are treated like her best friend! In her spare time, Jessica enjoys hiking, camping, and playing video games. She spends most of her time with her husband, Daniel and their Mexican rescue dog, Lola.
Deb has worked at this office for 28 years! She spends her time processing insurance claims and payments, organizing the schedule, and ensuring the office runs smoothly. Deb enjoys an active and fulfilling life with her husband and 2 adult children. Deb’s favorite activities are hiking, cycling, reading, and travel.
Carla is likely the first face you will see when you enter into. She has been a dental receptionist for 22 years and loves the busyness of front end duties. She enjoys spending time with her 2 teenage sons and husband as well as friends. And of course, camping and traveling are favorite pastimes also.
Char has been in the office for 20 years, she does the Janitorial for the office as well as many other things like sterilization, chart filing and just helping out wherever else she is needed. Char is actively involved in her church and also loves travelling, walking and hiking.
